The nest born from a need on the part of families to attend
to their little ones in the early stages 0 - 3 years.
Although both projects are included within the same association, they are managed independently.
PROJECT FEATURES

The project is characterized by offering a respectful and comprehensive education for children aged 0-3 years, favoring their optimal development and preparing their way to autonomy.
Our starting point is the adaptation to the individual needs of each upbringing at each specific moment of its development.
​
That is why it seems essential to us not to close ourselves to any pedagogical proposal, using
the one that best suits each circumstance. We do not believe that any of these pedagogical proposals adjusts by itself to the extraordinary complexity of each upbringing. We are nourished by the different proposals and use various resources since they are excellent instruments to awaken the innate curiosity of the upbringing.

Pedagogy

- Based on respect for upbringing and their needs,
both physical and psychological and emotional.
- Absence of coercion or external pressure that forces learning.
- Total respect for the diversity of learning rhythms of each parenting.
- Creation of a multifunctional physical space that allows the development of creativity
and facilitate sensory experimentation to carefully awaken
the innate curiosity of parenting.
- Knowledge of each of the upbringings, their personal circumstances, their motivations and interests, which modulate the generic spaces and periods,
making each one of them a unique and unrepeatable being.
- Personalized treatment with each of the children and their families.
- A place of learning for families willing to accompany their upbringing on the road to autonomy and self-knowledge, in its entirety; emotional, intellectual, bodily and spiritual.
- Non-compulsory assistance, taking into account the needs of the upbringing.
- Equal treatment between upbringing and adults.

We try to reproduce a cozy environment where the children feel at home,
and learn by imitation and love. Taking into account the freedom of action of each parenting does not mean that there are no limits, if not, on the contrary, there is a set of rules of coexistence and respect for the members of the group, the material and the space.
It is a home with its rules, its rhythms and its limits, always treating children with respect and love. In this way we help the upbringing to strengthen its will and conquer its own freedom.
Where the freedom of one begins, that of the other ends.
Calendar and schedule
The course begins in September, with what is stipulated in the school calendar of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. entry time and from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. collection time for the crianza.
We ask for punctuality.
And it will end at the end of June, being expandable to July due to the need of families.

Since the carers are in the space, they are responsible for their children.
​
Food
El Nido offers the children fresh fruit, nuts, cereal pancakes, natural smoothies and garden products for breakfast.
Lunch will be provided by the families according to the needs of their parents
​
We must take into account and accept that all children go through moments of more / less appetite. We will always have something available in case they want to eat
outside of breakfast and lunch hours.

Clothes
It is necessary that the child always comes with comfortable clothes
and that we do not mind that it is stained and / or torn.
​
It has to be clothes that facilitate their autonomy since we are promoting this premise,
within their level of development.
Therefore we have to make this possible and avoid obstacles.

Pants should be easy to get on and off.

Shoes that are easy to put on and take off (crocs, velcro, ...)
In case of bringing bracelets, necklaces, chains, toys, etc.,
We are not responsible in case of loss and / or breakage.
Adaptation period
Within the adaptation period, which we will adapt together with the family, to the needs of each child, it will be taken into account that the Nest routine will be respected,
so we ask you not to interrupt the moments of Greeting a day, Breakfast and Lunch.
things to keep in mind
Please bring diapers, wipes and hygiene items necessary for crianzas
who need them. Families must be responsible for replenishing them at the time
that are going to end.

Please bring a personal bottle for those who need it.
​
Do not bring toys from home (except during the adaptation period).
​
The first hour of the morning is a moment of exchange between family and companion.
If there is any topic that we want to discuss more broadly, it will be done at the exit
or a specific day and time will be agreed.
​
Look at the information board as important information will be posted there,
both related to the project and from abroad.
​
El Nido is a space of respect for children and everyone, for this reason you are asked to monitor your behavior and vocabulary within this space.
